Mould Design
High quality mould or plastic part start with a great mould design. Hence, Dynamic Mould pay special attention to plastic mould construction, gate, runner, cooling channel, and mechanism to ensure the best solution is used. We work with customer closely to determine details such as mould steel, mould accessories standard, raw materials selection etc. Constructive suggestions are always made for the benefit of your companies. All moulds are carefully designed to maximise its service life and to ease maintenance. Our design/engineering technologies include:
- 3D modelling (Pro Engineer/ SolidWorks/ UG/ CATIA)
- 2D layout (AutoCad)
- Plastic flow/ deform simulation (Mouldflow analysis)
- CNC Programming (Mastercam/ SolidCAM)
Design for manufacturing (DFM) evaluation review occur both internally as well as with customers, proposal of part design optimisation, mould design, injection moulding options are discussed to identify the best solution to achieve project goals and objectives. Customers review final tool design, such as part layout, parting line, ejection and gate locations, finishing, engraving etc. Mould design in 2D & 3D will be provided and need to be authorised by customer before cutting steel.
Mouldflow Analysis
Professional mouldflow analysis can identify potential mould defects, thus saving cost on plastic injection mould testing and modification. With the available information, we can make improvement such as:
- Determine the best hot runner position
- Reduce shrinkage
- Eliminate deformation
- Improve the cooling efficiency
- Shortening the injection moulding cycle time
This brings a huge advantage to high volume mould machining.

1. Mould Design Control
Dynamic Mould can provide product analysis and mouldflow report, will feedback customers with the issue arising on the product drawing, such as the thin thickness area, shrinkage mark, welting mark, air vent, undercuts, gate location, gate type, etc. After design finished, we’ll check on the mould strength, part line, cooling system, interference area, thin thickness area, etc. This ensure that the drawing provided by Dynamic Mould is in the excellent status for the longer mould life and work efficiency for customers.
2. Mould Material Control
Mould material will undergo inspection before acceptance. Steel quality guarantee certificate and steel certificate are compulsory to be provided by steel supplier.
3. Mould Spare Parts Purchasing and Control
We focus on qualified spare parts to meet customer’s requirement on standard parts models, standard quality and needed purchase time.
4. Mould Processing Quality Control
Controlling key procedure quality and manage the project progress according to mould processing documents. Dynamic Mould provide weekly progress and quality report to customer.
The mould technician are required to check the mould appearance, cooling system, mould assembly, process procedures carefully according to Dynamic Mould standard and customers’ standard.
5. Mould Assembly Control
Physical processing will be undertook as per the established procedure documents and be inspected relatively. Checking on the matching between core, cavity, inserts, guide pillar, return pin, angle lifter, sliders, ejector pin, cooling system, connector, etc.
6. Quality Check Before Delivery
Relevant documents such as spare parts list, mould testing video, processing files, 2D/3D drawings will be provided before shipment. End product is packed and shipped as per customer’s requirements.
